Making A Difference – The Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon
For two days, a ringing phone was a sure sign that the miracles would continue to happen. Those phones were ringing off the hook at the 2021 Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon. The event took place October 14th and 15th at Gundersen Clinic in La Crosse. While there were many groups and individuals involved to make it happen, E. Stanek Electric was proud to be a part of this all important event.
The CMN Radiothon is a fundraiser to help with the many issues families may face while their child is in the hospital. The Children’s Miracle Network has a mission to treat the whole child, regardless of the families ability to pay. The funds stay local, helping families to cover the cost of educational materials, medical equipment, therapy services, meals, gas cards and so much more.
The Radiothon aired live from Gundersen both days on three Midwest Family La Crosse stations – Z-93, 95.7 The Rock and KQ98 as well as a livestream on aroundrivercity.com. If you tuned in during the Radiothon, you heard moving stories from Gundersen Health System staff and area families who have been impacted by the generosity of CMN. These were stories of courage. Stories of what can be made possible through the generosity and caring of others in the community. Stories that inspired listeners to donate by phone, by text and online.
Volunteers and staff spent those two days of the CMN Radiothon answering calls and taking those donations. In addition to doing our part by working the phone banks, E. Stanek Electric was also a main co-sponsor of the event along with Mark Jewellers. While the 2021 CMN Radiothon was a success, funds are always needed and always appreciated.
